So why name yourself after a biblical comet destined to destroy the world?

It seemed cool! But in all honesty the comet is a symbol. As Simon Ward, I am just another amazing author. As The Wormwood Comet, I become the vanguard of a new generation for writing, rising from the vast void of mediocrity and laying waste to the standard expression of thought. After me, nothing will be the same.

Do you illustrate the art work yourself?

Unfortunately no, most of my illustrations are from various artists that I contacted for commission. On Yote and several other books in the "Chronicles of a Freak" Series, I enlisted the aide of Mark Clark II, who knocked it out the park. For 999 Night Terrors, I used several artists, with Nenasmint Ai to start. It really just depends on the nature of the book and the attitude of the characters involved.

What is the goal?
What do you hope to achieve with your writing?
​
Dreams. Chasing that new story, that great amazing tale that has never been done before is a fools gambit. I have a need to tell a better story. Technology, style, craft, all of it has evolved since the days of Shakespeare, Hitchcock, Tolkien, Roddenberry, and even Toriyama. And it is ever evolving. There is an imperative to craft better stories without getting hung up on that new popular idea. Because good is always just better than new. It is great to have both, but the focus is just a better dream.
That is all I want to create, something that will capture the imagination and grip a reader as vividly as a dream. Through Film, Comics, Anime, Video Games, it does not matter the medium.
